Model Making 2

Think we've just finished the model. We had to make some small minor adjustments to the cup holes. Had to cut the 4 tabs into 12 tabs. This was just to do with the thickness of the card and it not having the desired flexibility.

Here are the extra tabs that we cut. Before we cut them on the final model they were tried and tested on another piece of scrap card to prove the point if you will.

The final model shown here made from one piece of card using no other materials at all

Shovon with the final model

The model was tested with 6 cups of water to check it. There is a line that runs through the middle of the 3 holes that is weak but i think that thats down to the way the grain of the card runs and would have been better to have the grain run the other way. This would also help the two support flaps as they are weak aruond where they were cut but as i say if the model was cut an other way it would be ok.

cheers
